General Services: HR has the responsibility to assure that accurate and correct personnel records are maintained on all employees. This includes changes in salary, job title, payroll deductions, leave records and the maintenance of the computer personnel master file. The County Human Resources Department is committed to ensuring a diverse workforce in a safe and discrimination/harassment free environment by: maintaining compliance with employment laws and government regulations, providing management and employee training, and developing policies and procedures.
Our Department is also responsible for advertising vacant county positions, accepting applications for advertised positions and processing applications for submission to the appropriate department head. Duplin County offers health insurance benefits to all full-time employees. We are a member of the North Carolina Health Insurance Pool (NCHIP) and partner with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina as our medical insurance provider. The county medical plan compromises of vision insurance through Superior Vision Services, Teladoc where you can talk to a doctor from your office, home, etc. with no co-pay 24/7/365 and reduced pharmacy co-pays through the county’s private pharmacies.

Purpose:
To create a positive economic development environment by improving access to global technology, resources, and markets that attracts and retains quality businesses to provide the citizens of Duplin County with quality jobs.
General Services Provided:
Assist the growth of existing business and recruit new business to Duplin County to increase employment opportunities and grow the tax base in Duplin County.
